Johannes Matt
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the London School of Economics, a research associate at the Centre for Macroeconomics, and a fellow at LSE's School of Public Policy.
My job market paper studies how regulation-driven financial flows impact asset prices and economic growth. The paper won the 2025 European Economic Association Best Job Market Paper Prize and the 2026 Sir Alec Cairncross Prize.
In September 2026, I will join the International Monetary Fund as an economist.
