Johannes Matt

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the London School of Economics (LSE), a research associate the the Centre for Macroeconomics (CfM), and a fellow at LSE's School of Public Policy.

I am on the 2025/26 academic job market.

I study the interaction between financial markets and the real economy. In my job market paper, I analyse how financial regulation that decreases investors' risk-taking capacity affects economic growth. The paper has been awarded the EEA/UniCredit Foundation Best JMP Prize 2025.
